MDL operates 2 bear traps that run at different times, every 48 hours. In the the bear trap event you will have the option to launch your own rally and then join many others. The ultimate goal of the bear trap event is to cause as much damage as possible to the bear by optimizing your hero setup and troop ratios. We operate this event with strict rules to ensure each player is awarded a fair amount of points, ultimately enabling them to receive prizes in the forms of: hero essence stones, hero gear "cogs", alliance tokens and resources.

YOUR OWN RALLY

You should start you own rally using the following settings:

Troop ratio:
  • Infantry: 10%
  • Lancers: 10%
  • Marksmen: 80%
Heroes:
  • Primary: your most powerful hero
  • Secondary: your second most powerful hero
  • Tertiary: your third most powerful marksman

JOINING A RALLY

Things become more complicated when joining rallies. When joining rallies you must use the following settings:

Troop ratio:
  • Infantry: 10,000
  • Lancers: 10,000
  • Marksmen: 100,000
Yes, this means the maximum number of troops must not exceed 120,000, with the majority of troops coming from your marksmen camp.

Heroes:
Your primary hero must be one of the following:
  • Reina (only if she is 3 stars and has level 4 skills)
  • Jessie
  • Jasser
  • Seo Yoon
  • Jeronimo (only if he is 3 stars and has level 4 skills)
  • Gwen (only if she is 3 stars and has level 4 skills)
  • Bradley (only if he is 3 stars and has level 4 skills)

Your second and third hero can be anything, or empty.
If you do not have any of these heroes to send to a rally, do not send a hero -- just send troops without a hero!

HOW TO JOIN A RALLY

To ensure fairness and distrubition of points/rewards, we join rallies from the top of the list first. Do not "jump the queue".

Do not skip less powerful rallies. Using this method, the bear trap will run, on average, over 60 individual rallies. This will greatly increase your points compared to a traditional "join the whale" system.

FINAL DETAILS

At certain times, bear trap rules may change, but this will be communicated to you by an R4 before the event begins. If you have a question please ask an R4.
